Yes! You can track up to 5 medications completely free, forever. There are no ads, no trials, and no hidden fees. If you need to track more than 5, you can upgrade to Pro for a one-time payment of £6.99.

Do I need to create an account?

No. MedChime works without any account or sign-up. Just download, add your medications, and start getting reminders.

Where is my data stored?

All your data is stored locally on your device. MedChime’s only internet use is Google Play Billing for Pro purchases — your medication data never leaves your device.

Can I manage medications for a partner, child, or elderly parent?

Yes — with Pro. You can add named individuals and manage their medications separately on the same phone. Each person gets their own medication list, reminders labelled with their name, and individual adherence history. You can also view a combined household summary. Everything stays on your device — nothing is shared or synced anywhere.

What happens if I get a new phone?

MedChime includes an encrypted backup feature (available to all users) that lets you save a backup file. Transfer it to your new phone and restore your medications and history in seconds.

Is MedChime available for iPhone?

Currently, MedChime is only available for Android. We’re considering an iOS version based on demand — let us know at support@medchime.com if you’d like to see it!

Does MedChime recognise my medications?

Yes! MedChime includes a built-in medication database with locale-aware suggestions for the UK, US, and international medications. Just start typing and it will suggest matches — no internet required.

Can I track medications I only take as needed?

Yes! When adding a medication, choose “As needed” instead of a fixed schedule. These appear in a separate section on your Today screen with a simple Log button. They won’t trigger reminders or affect your adherence score.
